February, 2014 Seminar Series Announced for Baltimore and San Francisco

It’s time to plan early for our February Seminar series, with up to three days of intensive fit training featuring the Fit Kit as well as the Waterford Fitmaster:

  • February 3-5 – Baltimore, MD.
  • February 24-26– San Francisco, CA

We continue to update the content for both the one-day Level 1 Fit Kit course and the two-day Level 2-3 advanced course. For shops and professionals new to bike fit, no system beats the Fit Kit system and training for building a foundation for great fit on stock bikes. It also provides excellent base-line information for advanced fittings. The advanced seminar provides tools for handling a wide range of fit-related problems. Both courses include extensive hands-on activities that make it easy to transfer what you learn right to the showroom floor.

Hands on at the seminar

The Level 1 course covers:

  • Basic anatomy and physiology.
  • Proper measurements with the Fit Kit.
  • Model and size selection with the Fit Kit.
  • Initial fit refinements using the Smart Goni.
  • Introduction to cleat alignment.

This course is ideal for new bike fitters. Those who received their Fit Kit Certification over 5 years ago will find the content so radically evolved that it’s well worth attending again. You’ll be able to perform more reliable and more productive fits, thanks to the Smart Goni and Fit Kit’s updated protocols.

The Level 2 course covers:

  • Introduction to biomechanics.
  • Common problems and solutions.
  • Bicycle fit for custom bicycles.
  • Laser and RAD system-based pedal analysis and cleat alignment.
  • Introduction to triathlon and time trial fitting.
  • Introduction to motion capture.
  • Bicycle fit merchandising.
  • Detailed case studies.

Steep yourself in a number of important topics that greatly expand the quality of fitting services you can provide. Develop observation, diagnostic and consultation skills while working with real riders. Fit Kit’s approach to triathlete fit and motion capture provides excellent tools to support these clients.

Earlybird tuition ranges from $375 for the Level 1 course to $990 for all three days. You can save $100 on the Level 1 course and another $100 for the Level 2-3 course if you are already certified through the corresponding course. $100 locks in your reservation for this seminar. Tuition and coffee are included; room, food and transportation are extra.
